5. ENGLAND - East Coast - River Thames - Ware Point - Wreck. Buoy. - The wreck and west cardinal buoy notified vide NtM 5619 of 2017 in Week 48 have now been removed and deleted.

1. Felixstowe Dredging - on or about the 22nd January 2018 the trailer dredger Reynaert , the plough vessel Afon Goch, and the survey launch Libertas will be carrying out maintenance dredging from Felixstowe berths and approaches Material from these areas will be disposed to the Inner Gabbard disposal site;
2. Felixstowe Berth 9 – Landguard Quay expansion project – on or about 19th January 2018 the dredger Freeway will commence Phase 1 of the dredging/reclamation for the Felixstowe Berth 9 – Landguard quay expansion project. The dredging is expected to last approximately 7 weeks. The initial dredging work will involve removal of silt, which will be deposited at the Inner Gabbard dumping area. Following the completion of the silt removal, the reclamation work will involve dredging from either the Shipwash Bank area (around the South Ship Head area) or from Tarmac Area 5093 in the Sunk VTS sector.
3. Removal of seabed obstruction in Harwich Harbour - a seabed obstruction (reported last week) within Harwich Harbour has been removed and the pellet marker buoys have been recovered;
4. Severe Damage Caused to Burnham Sailing Club’s Pontoon – River Crouch - severely damaged in the strong winds and is not to be used under any circumstances. Mariners are kindly requested to keep a sharp look out and to notify the Harbour Authority if any components are seen floating in the river.
5. LOWESTOFT – BASCULE BRIDGE MARINE CLOSURES - extensive maintenance works are scheduled for Lowestoft Bascule Bridge for January and February. This will result in a series of overnight Marine closures. All these closures will run from 2000hrs GMT until 0600hrs GMT on the following day. Mon 29th January to Friday 16th February, (dates inclusive) – 19 consecutive nights. No small boat openings. Commercial vessel openings only considered with a minimum of 12hrs notice and subject to the works schedule. Vessels restricted to HW period port entry/departure only will be prioritised.
